Viet Nam vet with the usual baggage but mine is now packed away.
Public health specialist & medical anthropologist have worked all over the globe, most recent work since 1988 in the former Soviet Union (now the CIS/NIS) & based out of Florida, Hamburg-Germany & Kyiv-Ukraine. Grew up with a Russian grandfather & learned the culture from the roots up.
International public health consultant & diabetes educator. Avid student of cooking & cuisines especially of the Slavs, Magyars, Scandics, Asian cultures, Cajun sub-culture, Creole sub-culture, Russian-Ukrainian, Kartvelian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese (all types),Native American & Hispanic cultures.
Photography has always been a passion as well as a tool for recording & studying my professional endeavors. Travel, history, hunting (with camera as well as weapons), fishing & camping are fun endeavors as well. Very interested in & enjoy kayaking & canoeing, jet-skiing as well as snorkeling & free diving.
Currently living in Florida but wishing I was still in Europe & working all over the former Soviet Union. Most recent endeavors include grant writing for a faith-based recovery ministries, writing for internatioal, local & regional publications, working on my books and so much more!.
